Cape school marching band drums up life skills

A community crime-busting group is calling on residents to join in their efforts to rein in crime.
CAPE TOWN – Twenty pupils from a school in Manenberg on the Cape Flats will be jetting off to Thailand in December for the International Music Festival. 
The kids are from Talfalah Primary School, a no-fee school accommodating pupils from Philippi, Browns Farm and Gugulethu. 
The young band members say they’re hoping for victory.
Established in 2018, the marching band has already won several local competitions.
